Surveillance cameras captured the fatal shooting of rapper Nipsey Hussle on Sunday in front of his clothing store in South Los Angeles and footage from it may give police assistance in finding the suspect.

Hussle, 33, was shot six times in front of his Marathon Clothing outlet in the Crenshaw District. He was pronounced dead at a hospital soon after, despite paramedics performing CPR. Two other people were also wounded but survived. Authorities do not have a motive in the shooting, although speculation has risen that it could be gang-related.

According to TMZ.com, the surveillance camera footage obtained by the website is from a store adjacent to Marathon Clothing and in it, an individual can be seen entering the frame from an alley and making his way to the front of the store. Next, someone is seen falling to the ground and others fleeing the site — meaning there were apparently several witnesses to the shooting.

It is unclear if the individual that fell was Hussle, but he was wearing a white t-shirt similar to the one he was wearing in a picture taken just before the shooting.

According to LAPD officials, the shooter is described as an unidentified Black male who fled in a car driven by a woman.

Hussle had reportedly been planning to meet with LAPD Chief Michel Moore and Police Commissioner Steve Soboroff to discuss solutions to gang violence. Though speculated, it is not known for sure it the shooting was gang-related.
