MTV has announced the nominees for the 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards and it looks like the music network will be handing out a few new trophies this year.
Three new categories (Reality Royalty, Most Meme-able Moment and Best Real-Life Hero)will be introduced at this year’s show.
A few of our favorites are getting some shine in major categories. Amandla Stenberg (The Hate U Give) and Lupita Nyong’o (Us) are up for Best Performance in a Movie while BlacKkKlansman, Us, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse are up for Best Movie. Jason Mitchell is nominated for Best Performance in a Show for his role on The Chi and Marsai Martin got a nod for Best Comedic Performance for her starring role in Little.
