FREESTYLE DIGITAL MEDIA ACQUIRES “PRESSURE” FOR AUGUST RELEASE
Urban Action/Drama Debuts on DVD and North American VOD Platforms on August 11th
Los Angeles, CA – July 15, 2020 – Freestyle Digital Media, the digital film distribution division of Byron Allen’s Entertainment Studios has acquired North American rights to the urban action/drama, PRESSURE. PRESSURE will be available to rent and own on DVD and North American digital HD internet, cable, and satellite platforms through Freestyle Digital Media on Aug 11, 2020.
PRESSURE is a coming-of-age story about five teenagers growing up in Brooklyn and Harlem New York in the 1980’s. It is the beginning of a new generation of kids called the “hip hop” generation, which unfortunately was growing up alongside the crack cocaine epidemic. Lead character, Karon, falls into a deep sleep after his graduation in 1985. Having dreams within dreams takes him into a realistic drama along with his potential future in the 1990’s as a drug selling youth. His fast money attitude serves as the detriment to the community, and his best friends eventually become caught in the crossfire of his illicit activity. In the end, he has only two choices to make — live or die.
Written, produced, and directed by Abdu Dandridge, PRESSURE features an ensemble cast including Damion Lee (‘Karon’), Andrea Bordeaux (‘Pamela’), James Edward Shippy (‘Daniel’), Daniel Molina (‘Timothy’), Sharieff Carson (‘Rasheen’), and Chauncey Meeks Owens (‘Michael’).

Freestyle Digital Media’s Director of Acquisitions, Caleb Ward, negotiated the deal to acquire PRESSURE directly with filmmaker Abdu Dandridge of Pressure Entertainment Films LLC.
