Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly pitching top secret project
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle met with Hollywood executives in June, according to sources
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle didn’t just come to California to live and raise their son. It appears they are now committed to becoming Hollywood power players.
The couple, who stepped down as senior royals of the British royal family earlier this year, has been pitching a top-secret project to executives at media companies, Variety exclusively reported on Tuesday.
There are no known details yet but sources say that meetings with honchos at NBCUniversal and other places were held in June to pitch the idea.

What is known is that Markle, 39, has no immediate plans to return to acting. While she previously starred on the USA Network legal drama Suits, insiders said she and Harry, 35, are more interested in being producers on the unnamed project.
A spokesperson for the couple has not responded to the latest report but this would not be the couple’s first foray into entertainment since moving stateside. In April, Markle lent her voice to the Disney nature documentary Elephants that is now available for streaming on Disney+.
“I am really grateful to be able to bring this story of elephants to life,” the Duchess of Sussex told Good Morning America at the time. “I’ve been really lucky to be able to have hands-on experience with elephants in their natural habitat. When you spend time connecting to them in their wildlife you understand that we have a role to play in their preservation and their safety.”

More recently, the Duke of Sussex is featured in the upcoming Netflix documentary Rising Phoenix about the Paralympic Games set to stream on August 26.
“There isn’t anything else in the world that can bring you back from the darkest places than sport,” he said in the trailer.
The couple has also been focused on social justice issues and matters of inequality since leaving the U.K. and settling into the United States with their son Archie, 1. Last week, both spoke out about the need to confront racism.
“There’s so much that has happened for so long that once those problems exist, charity is crucial in so many areas but it can’t fix the problem. The problems already exist by that point, the problems are already too big,” Harry told Rashad Robinson, the president of Color of Change. “As I’ve said to you before, it’s basically like bringing a bucket of water to a forest fire.”
Markle declared it was “good to be home” days later during the virtual summit for The 19th, but acknowledged the challenging racial climate.
She referenced the demonstrations and civil disobedience happening in the US and around the world since the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery.
“If there’s any silver lining in that, I would say that in the weeks after the murder of George Floyd, in the peaceful protests that you were seeing, in the voices that were coming out, in the way that people were actually owning their role…it shifted from sadness to a feeling of absolute inspiration, because I can see that the tide is turning,” she said.
