In the book, she describes her time as the White House press secretary for the first two years of the Donald Trump presidency. The book is not a “tell-all;” Huckabee Sanders reportedly remains loyal to the president. Yet, in it, she disclosed a shocking revelation of something said to her by President Trump.

“Kim Jong-un hit on you!” a delighted Trump joked, according to Huckabee Sanders’ memoir. “He did! He fu**ing hit on you!”

In an advance copy of the title, obtained by The Guardian, she writes “All I could think was, ‘What just happened? Surely Kim Jong-un did not just mark me!?’”

Huckabee Sanders relayed the incident to Trump and his then-chief of staff, John Kelly.

“Kim Jong-un hit on you!” Trump said. “He did! He fu**ing hit on you!”

Huckabee Sanders writes that she told the president that she didn’t know that was what happened, but he persisted. She finally said, “Sir, please stop.”

But instead, he said, “Well, Sarah, that settles it. You’re going to North Korea and taking one for the team! Your husband and kids will miss you, but you’ll be a hero to your country.”

According to the report, Huckabee Sanders recalls in Speaking for Myself that the president and Kelly “howled with laughter” as the car drove on.

President Trump claims he’s cultivated a close relationship with the North Korean dictator, who has been plagued by rumors of his failing health. “It’s a very interesting thing to say, but I’ve developed a very, very good relationship,” Trump said in February of 2019.

“He wrote me beautiful letters, and they’re great letters,” he declared at a September rally in West Virginia. “We fell in love.”

Speaking for Myself will be released Sept. 8.
