David Adefeso, Tamar Braxton’s longtime boyfriend, has released a social media video on which he says that he has been the victim of domestic violence at her hands.

According to TMZ, Adefeso filed for an order of protection against the singer-reality star on Tuesday.

In an Instagram Live video reposted by The Shade Room, Adefeso claimed that he “has been a victim of domestic violence.” He said he was “attacked while driving at a high speed.”

Adefeso claimed that Braxton hit him with “a blow to my jugular,” which he explained carries blood to the brain. He stated that the hit left him “discombobulated.”

“What was told about me grabbing or hitting Tamar, or anyone else, is a complete and absolute falsehood,” he says. “I’ve never and will ever put my hands on a woman.”

Adefeso said that he called his mother in an attempt to diffuse the situation, and she started praying. He said that he ultimately realized that Braxton was recording the interaction from the backseat.

The incident allegedly occurred as the Nigerian wealth manager was transporting Braxton to a mental health treatment facility.

However, gossip site The Blast is asserting the couple was involved in a heated altercation in a car. Their source said that Adefeso instigated the violence, claiming the man “became irate, threatening not only her life, but his own.”

Braxton is rumored to have contended that Adefeso said, as a couple, they would “end up in a murder-suicide.”

Sources close to Braxton say that she grabbed him after he got physical with her.

“Any claims that Ms. Braxton was the aggressor and/or abusive are completely false and have no merit,” The Blast reported without credit to the source. “David Adefeso has been upset and abusive since seeing his own true colors on Tamar’s upcoming television show and has been taking it out on Tamar ever since.”

Braxton and her son, Logan Herbert, have allegedly moved out of Adefeso’s Los Angeles home.
