Adefeso says Braxton attacked him and filed for an order of protection against her after their split.

Embattled reality TV star Tamar Braxton is speaking out about her relationship with her ex-boyfriend, David Adefeso

Braxton sat down with Tamron Hall this week and denied that she was ever abusive toward Adefeso, despite his claims.

“I am a survivor of a domestic violence relationship, and not at any point was David and I in an abusive relationship,” she said.

In September, Adefeso claimed that he “has been a victim of domestic violence.” He said Braxton attacked him while he was “driving at a high speed.”

Hall asked Braxton if the video or voice recordings that she and Adefeso captured on the night of the incident show any violence. She denies that.

Adefeso claimed that Braxton hit him with “a blow to my jugular,” which he explained carries blood to the brain. He stated that the hit left him “discombobulated.”

“I will never, ever bring myself to attack Tamar, somebody I’ve spent so long with… [but] I’ll speak the truth,” he said. “I’ve been a victim of domestic violence, of domestic assault. I was attacked.”

Adefeso claimed the attack happened while en route to take Braxton to a hospital following a suicide attempt.

The couple has since split up, and Adefeso filed for an order of protection against Braxton. In her interview with Hall, she emotionally reacts to Adefeso’s claims.

“I loved David,” she says in the clip. “He was my best friend. He was an amazing, amazing partner. He was my son’s best friend as well; they were best friends. It’s just so hard because through everything else, I never expected this from him.”

She speculated that Adefeso may be reacting to the way he found her unresponsive in her hotel room.

“Now, I have to be real with myself. Is he acting like this because he found me the way that he found me? Probably,” she says. “I don’t know.”
