Here’s who other countries prefer to win in 2020 presidential election

Leaders of countries around the world are weighing in on the presidential election between Trump and Biden

America isn’t the only country on the edge of its seat to see how the election will turn out.

The world is closely monitoring the presidential election. According to USA Today, various countries around the world have opinions on who they would like to see win the election. Who should win may be clear as day to most Americans but other countries’ feelings aren’t as clear.

“Because of my education as a physicist,” said Chancellor Angela Merkel on Monday as a reason why she declined to comment directly on who she thinks should win the election but offered words on the topic. “I naturally attribute great weight to scientific advice, and make use of it myself.” The comment followed Trump saying the coronavirus is coming to an end despite Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top expert on infectious disease, comments saying that we are not.

Chancellor Merkel may be tight-lipped but Danny Ayalon, a former Israeli ambassador, says the country has been a “much better place” since Trump has been president. Trump has worked with Israel in regards to its conflict with Palestine.

Yoram Ettinger, a former diplomat and expert on U.S.-Israeli relations says, “This is the first U.S. administration that has broken away from the simplistic view that solving the Palestinian issue is the key to solving the region’s other problems.”

Despite Trump’s early comments about Mexicans and building a wall to keep undocumented people out of the country, Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador is in favor of the 45^th president and says he shows “respect” for the country.

In regards to the homeland, Africa may be undecided. “Africa has not figured in any of the presidential and vice-presidential debates, or in much of the campaigning. Yet it has a serious stake in the outcome as shown by a clutch of Trump administration actions in the last few months,” In Africa, an English language monthly, opined.
