Mayor Jim Kenney addressed Trump in his speech on Friday and says all the ballots will be counted. In regards to Trump, he said, “put his big boy pants on” and accept his loss in the election gracefully just as other presidents have done in the past.

“What the president needs to do, frankly, is put his big boy pants on. He needs to acknowledge that he lost. And he needs to congratulate the winner,” said Kenney. He added, “I doubt he’ll listen to me, but that’s my feeling.”

The battleground state of Pennsylvania is still counting ballots after Tuesday’s election and as of now Biden is in the lead.

“The votes will continue to be counted until every mail in ballot, absentee ballot and provisional ballot is counted,” Kenney said as he read from a podium. “So while some including the President continue to spew baseless claims, of fraud, claims that his team has not produced one iota of evidence what we have seen here in Philadelphia is a democracy, plain and simple.”

This statement comes after Trump claiming there was some type of fraud involved in the election as Joe Biden is closing in on the 270 electoral college votes to win and he is not.

“If you count the legal votes, I easily win. If you count the illegal votes, they can try to steal the election from us.” said Trump to reporters per The Hill. “If you count the votes that came in late, we’re looking at them very strongly.”

But it isn’t just Kenney who is not convinced on Trump’s claims. Senator Pat Toomey, an ally of the president, said the allegations of fraud were baseless in an interview with CBS This Morning.

“The president’s speech last night was very disturbing to me because he made very, very serious allegations without any evidence to support it,” Toomey said.

The GOP senator added, “I voted for President Trump. I endorsed President Trump. I want the next president to be the person who legitimately wins the Electoral College and I will accept whoever that is.”
