White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany spoke to the press Monday night about election irregularities while at the Republican National Committee headquarters. She was speaking in her “personal capacity” while attending a “campaign event,” according to The Guardian.

McEnany refused to accept the results of the Nov. 3 election, and she alleged, without any evidence, that there was widespread voter fraud.

McEnany’s comments were being broadcast live on Fox News when Neil Cavuto, who was hosting at the time, asked that they be shut off.

“Whoa, whoa, whoa – I just think we have to be very clear. She’s charging the other side as welcoming fraud and welcoming illegal voting,” said Cavuto. “Unless she has more details to back that up, I can’t in good countenance continue to show you this.”

Cavuto continued on to say he would welcome conversation about this topic if anyone was able to provide proof of the voter fraud.

“That’s an explosive charge to make, that the other side is effectively rigging and cheating,” said Cavuto. “So far she has started saying, right at the outset, ‘welcoming fraud, welcoming illegal voting’. Not so fast.”

The cut-off move is unprecedented for Fox News, a conservative network that has largely been seen as a mechanism for Trump support.

Since the weekend, Fox News’ messaging has seen a slight change, as they are, for what seems like one of the first times, telling viewers that Trump lost last Tuesday’s presidential election.
