Rapper Boosie Badazz’s vehicle was shot in the Big T Plaza parking lot in Dallas, Texas on Saturday, his 38th birthday, with reports now surfacing that he was also shot in the leg during the incident, according to Revolt.

According to TMZ, the “Wipe Me Down” rapper’s sprinter van was shot after someone opened fire before they fled the scene. A source told the publication the rapper was taken to a hospital to be treated and that the wound he suffered is non-life threatening and below the knee.

When the Dallas Police Department arrived to the scene after being alerted that someone was shot, no one present nor were there signs that a crime was committed, according to TMZ.

Heavy also reported that it reached out to Boosie’s camp for comment, but did not get a response. They also noted that there is no recent activity on the rapper’s social media accounts.

There were conflicting reports about the Louisiana-born rapper getting shot as someone on the scene took to Instagram Live while at the location and said he witnessed the rapper being transferred from the van to another vehicle.

“He wasn’t touched at all, guys. He wasn’t hit,” the person said.

Boosie was in Dallas to attend the funeral of friend and fellow rapper, Mo3, who was shot and killed on the highway on November 11, when a car pulled up beside him and opened fire. He was 28.

On Friday, Boosie was present during a public event to pay tribute to his fallen friend. “I appreciate all the times we had together,” he said while at the event.

He took to social media in reaction to the rapper’s death, saying, “I’m lost for words. Mo3 see u when I get there.”

Mo3 was signed to Boosie’s BadAzz Music Syndicate and the two rappers collaborated earlier this year.
