What are the Fresh Dolls?
The Fresh Dolls is a company that specializes in medical-grade silicone, TPE, and plastic dolls. Their dolls are entirely customizable for different tastes like eye colors, skin types, hair color and type, and ethnicities.
Who is the Founder?
It all began with her love for storybooks and creating dolls. Dr. Lisa, a mom, professor, and entrepreneur, has continued to inspire young people with her passion for creating beautiful black-skinned dolls. After her experience with a young girl who thought her dark skin was “nasty,” she became determined to help African-American boys and girls build self-esteem and confidence for their skin color. In 2003, she initiated the world of Entertainment, Publishing, and Inspiration (EPI) to keep children happy and hopeful.
Achievements So Far
After the world of EPI was born, Dr. Lisa continued to create many cute multicultural dolls for both genders. Her drive to make dolls and accessories has fetched her lots of recognition, awards, and many other achievements. She wakes up every morning with the vision of little girls playing around with dolls.
In addition to her achievements, confidence-building was passed over to the African American young males with her latest release, The Fresh Squad doll. This male fashion doll was specially made for the black boys to showcase their power, uniqueness, and brilliance. She believes the fresh squad doll represents the strong and chivalrous men in her life. Her idea for creating fashionable male dolls is her quest for black boys to see who they truly are. In 2009, she made the Positively Perfect Dolls (PPD), consisting of 18’’and 14’’ baby dolls.
In 2017, she launched the multicultural fashion doll called ‘Fresh’. This doll helps older girls appreciate their black beauty and personality. The Fresh Doll can be specially identified by its fuller hips, thighs, and realistic waist. On the other hand, the PDP collection is popularly known for their custom-blended skin tones, beautiful facial features, beautiful fashion, and hairstyles like afros, afro puffs, braids, and curly and wavy hairstyles. These dolls are currently distributed across domestic mass retail stores and international markets. Presently, the fresh doll collection has designed over 65 dolls representing brown, black, mixed, and blended children. EPI male dolls also have remained notable and unique due to their strong jawlines, muscular bendable bodies, real hair, and full lips. EPI is dedicated to promoting the African American personality and self-esteem through beautifully designed dolls.
