Megan Thee Stallion was hospitalized in New York City after falling ill during a live performance of “Moulin Rouge! The Musical,” forcing her to exit mid-show.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, her representative shared that the Grammy-winning artist began feeling unwell during the Tuesday night production and was quickly taken to a nearby hospital. Her condition is currently being evaluated, though no further details about her symptoms have been publicly confirmed.

The performance reportedly started as scheduled at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, with Megan appearing in the opening scenes. However, the show was briefly halted when her condition worsened. Audience members were asked to remain seated as the situation was addressed, and an alternate performer stepped in to complete the show.

Megan had only recently made her Broadway debut in “Moulin Rouge! The Musical,” taking on the role of Harold Zidler. Her casting marked a notable moment for the production, as she became the first woman to play the role, which has previously been performed by actors such as Boy George, Wayne Brady, and Tituss Burgess.

Her appearance in the long-running jukebox musical also included performances of some of her own hit songs, including “Savage” and “Body,” blending her music with the show’s established format.

The debut represented a new creative step for the rapper, who has built her career primarily in music. In earlier statements, she described theater as an exciting challenge and an opportunity to expand her artistic range.

The incident comes just days after her highly anticipated Broadway run began, drawing attention from fans and celebrities alike. Notable attendees at recent performances have included Queen Latifah and Tiffany Haddish.

As of now, there is no official word on how the health scare will impact her upcoming performances. Her hairstylist Kellon Deryck tweeted, “Everyone say a prayer for Megan, we are all at the hospital.”
