“Happy Father’s Day to all the black fathers. Especially the soon-to-be fathers,” Gross said. “You got this. We are all learning as we go, and nobody has it down pat. Nobody’s perfect at this. So don’t be afraid to just stretch your wings and be a sponge and just learn…take it in stride, it’s a beautiful journey.”

“Thank you for doing all that he can with what he had, um, I love that he is always trying to give me and my siblings lessons to take with us moving forward,” he said. “That’s what I really appreciate with him because he knows, ‘Oh, I got stuff to work on myself. Whatever I needed to work on, I want to give [my kids] that awareness, so they won’t have to struggle with the same things I struggle with.”
