Grio Fam,
It’s another busy week in the world of politics.
Everyone is talking about Kamala Harris’s new memoir, ‘107 Days,’ which was released this week. The former vice president details her historic 2024 presidential campaign, holding nothing back from detailing her true thoughts about President Joe Biden’s fitness for office, to her decision not to choose one vice presidential contender as her running mate because he was a gay man.

Harris faced some criticisms, including pro-Palestinian activists who interrupted her book tour in New York City. She was also on the receiving end of a nasty tirade from President Donald Trump for remarks she made about her 2024 contest against him.

Speaking of nasty, who can forget the racist and sexist attacks on Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett from MAGA influencer Laura Loomer?

During the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s 54th Annual Legislative Conference, I asked CBC Chairwoman Yvette Clarke about Loomer’s remarks regarding Crockett. Here’s what she had to say about the controversy.

Speaking of CBC Week, members of the Congressional Black Caucus held an informative press conference with Black journalists. They and the larger Democratic Caucus face criticisms and questions about their effectiveness in responding to President Trump’s agenda. CBC members admit that Trump’s information machine sometimes drowns out their messaging. My latest report breaks down their strategy and what lies ahead in their quest to win back control in Congress.
