Ron DeSantis Prepares to Run for President | The Hill with April Ryan

Dec. 4, 2024 – 19:05 – For this edition of The Hill with April Ryan Black leaders speak out against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and his soft launch for president as he continues to support his ban on African-American studies in Florida. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass says the Desantis base suppports the ban on African-American studies. The newly elected mayor said those who walk through Charlottesville, Virginia with tiki torches are part of that base. Also in this addition of the Hill, two centenarian survivors of the Black Wall Street massacre in the Greenwood section of Tulsa, Oklahoma, traveled to the Ghanaian Embassy in Washington D.C. to receive dual citizenship. Vice president Kamala Harris attended that ceremony. And, Keisha Lance Bottoms is saying goodbye to her work at the White House after an extended stay in the office of public liaison.
