While the Romney campaign is raising funds from wealthy leaders in business and finance, the Obama campaign has embraced a somewhat different strategy. The president has been seeking help from Hollywood stars. Tyler Perry, George Clooney and Harvey Weinstein are just a few of famous names that have thrown fundraisers for the president.

Boss actress Sanaa Lathan joins Al Sharpton on his show Politics Nation to discuss her support for President Obama. Lathan campaigned in 2008 for Obama and continues to be a strong supporter of his agenda.

“I think he’s done so much for America, for health care, for women,” said Lathan. “If people do their research, they’ll realize how much Obama has done for this country.”
