First look: Halle Berry's sci-fi television show 'Extant'

The first teaser for Halle Berry’s highly-anticipated small screen series debut — Extant — has been released.

The CBS show, which is being produced by Hollywood legend Steven Spielberg, is a science fiction drama in which Berry plays an astronaut.

Details about the plot have been scarce, with many speculating the show would be something akin to last year’s blockbuster film Gravity.

But the trailer suggests that perhaps Berry’s character or someone else on the show may be pregnant with an alien life-form.
