George Zimmerman is generating controversy on Twitter … again.
Zimmerman took to Twitter to post an image of the suspected Oregon shooter Christopher Harper Mercer and proceeded to compare Mercer to President Barack Obama with a caption that read: “2 things P.O.S. Obama & his son have in common, self proclaimed ‘mixed race’ and attacking Christians on US soil.”
The post was in reference to claims made by a woman whose grandmother, she claims, was on the scene of the recent tragic shooting. The grandmother claimed that the shooter asked about the students’ religion before shooting them, though early reports did not specifically mention Christianity as a factor.

The reference to Obama’s “son” was a call back to the time when Obama noted that Trayvon Martin, who Zimmerman killed, could have been himself at a younger age or even his son.
