Last week Badu sent tongues wagging when she playfully pointed out on BET’s Soul Train Awards that Iggy’s music is “definitely not rap.”
And now the singer/dj has decided to end this “thing” with the Aussie raper by way of an apology — of sorts.
“I want to do this for my daughters. I want to apologize to Iggy Azalea because she’s one of their favorite artists. And they listen to her all the time. And, it’s for them,” she announced during a Q&A with fans on Twitter. “When I really think about it… I mean, if y’all love her so much, why don’t you go be with her then?”
The shade in this video is so expertly executed, one can only hope that Azalea decides to turn the other cheek and (for once) remain silent.
