Will Smith on Trump: I may be forced to run for president

Donald Trump’s antics have gotten so out of hand, Will Smith may just be forced to intervene.

In an interview set to be featured on CBS’s Sunday Morning, the A-list actor tells correspondent Tracy Smith he wouldn’t be opposed to adding “politician” to his already lengthy resume, especially after hearing all the problematic rhetoric being spouted in the current presidential race.

“If people keep saying all the crazy kinds of stuff they’ve been saying on the news lately about walls and Muslims, they’re going to force me into the political arena,” he said.

“I mean, I gotta be the President. Come on!” the Concussion star joked, adding, “What else would I run for?”

Aside from bringing in huge numbers at the box office, Smith is also known for his inspiring philosophies and the unorthodox way he and wife Jada Pinkett-Smith encourage their children to think outside of the box.

“I tell my kids, ‘Be as unrealistic as possible, and then figure out how to make it real,” he said. “The best things that have ever happened, ever, were unrealistic before they happened. So for me, I think being the biggest movie star in the world as a goal actually was too small!”

“I realized that the dream was too small,” Smith continued. “I realized that there was no way that I was put here just to be a movie star.”

Tracy Smith’s interview with Will Smith will air on Sunday Morning on December 13.
