Lawsuit alleges Usher infected woman with herpes, settled with $1.1 million
Usher has reportedly shelled out $1.1 million to a woman who accused him of infecting her with herpes.
The woman, Maya Fox-Davis, was the same woman that Tameka Foster accused Usher in court of sleeping with, according court documents obtained by RadarOnline.
Fox-Davis claimed in court documents that Usher had shared with her his concerns about having an STD after a “greenish discharge” had come from his penis, but doctors later determined that he was an “asymptomatic carrier.” He then convinced Fox-Davis that an STD test had come back negative, and they engaged in unprotected sex.
“Believing Raymond’s statements that it had been nothing and cleared up, [she] continued her relationship,” her lawyer wrote.
However, three weeks later, Fox Davis woke up “feeling very sick” with a “fever of 100 degrees, chills, headache, and aches and pains.” She “also developed lesions and blisters in her vagina,” and she promptly went to the doctor, where she was diagnosed with herpes.

She confronted him about the infection, and he called two days later along with his doctor to confirm that, yes, he did carry herpes. According to the settlement, “In a series of telephone conversations and online chat sessions, [Usher] has apologized for infecting [her] and told her he would take care of things.”
She said in legal docs that she “feels that her health and body have been ruined,” and she “has suffered severe emotional distress and has been extremely depressed … knowing there is no cure.”
Ultimately, the two settled in December 2012, with Usher paying out $1.1 million in the settlement. The settlement itself was revealed recently in a probe by RadarOnline.
