Las Vegas gunman sent girlfriend away so she wouldn’t interfere with massacre

According to the sisters of Stephen Paddock’s girlfriend, he sent their sister Marilou Danley away before he went on his shooting rampage in Las Vegas. They say they believe it’s because he knew that she would try to stop him if she found out about what he was planning.

The sisters are in Australia and said they were shocked to learn that their sister went to the Philippines a couple of weeks ago. They say that Paddock bought and paid for her travel.

One sister, in tears, said, “I know that she don’t know anything.”

“She was sent away so that she will be not there to interfere with what he’s planning,” she said before adding that Danley was a “good person” who would have done something to stop him if she had known that he was going to hurt people.

Paddock used Danley’s identification at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino which is one of the reasons they were so determined to find and question her.

It has been said by the police that Paddock wired over $100,000 to an account in the Philippines though they do not yet know why.

Danley is now back in the US. She was escorted by FBI agents in L.A.

Investigators are hoping she will be able to provide some clues into the motivation for the killings that killed 58 people and wounded over 500.

Danley and Paddock lived together so it is clear why the police are interested in speaking with her. “We anticipate some information from her shortly,” Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo stated on Tuesday. “She is currently a person of interest.”
