Students at a high school in Tempe scrapped a walkout planned Friday morning after their principal changed his mind and agreed to back their application for President Barack Obama to speak at high school graduation.

They said Mirizio told the students he worried about student safety and parent complaints if Obama spoke at high school graduation.
