The Today Show caught up with actress Gabrielle Union at New York Fashion Week, where she talked about fashion, traveling, and the new job she’s been given by President Obama.

Union was working on a pilot for a new show Army Wives, but it didn’t take off. Not long after that she was appointed by Obama to work with the National Advisory Committee for Violence Against Women.

“That, to me, is a little more fulfilling right now,” Union said.

Union is also working on a new film about love, but says nothing can really top working with the president.
