A community activist, historian and author, Dr. Conrad Worrill has been involved in Chicago’s African American political movement for decades.

“It appears that you are moving foward,” he said during an interview with NBC Chicago, “but actually you’re moving backwards and you don’t know it.”

Worrill is a descendant of political leaders. His parents were community activists who worked tirelessly to improve the power of African Americans in Chicago, and Worrill still continues to channels the past to follow the teachings of other great activist leaders, like Dr.Martin Luther King.

He said he never gives up organizing around interests that effect the community and it is because of his perseverance that Dr.Conrad Worrill is is this year’s recipient of the N’Digo’s N’community Award.
