President Obama gives fifth grader best absence note ever

A Minnesota fifth grader will head back to school on Monday with what could be the best absence excuse possible: a note from the president of the United States.
Tyler Sullivan attended an official presidential visit to a Honeywell factory in a suburb of Minneapolis on Friday with his dad Ryan, a new employee, who introduced President Obama at the event.
By doing so, he missed a day of school.
But a note handwritten by the president explaining Tyler’s absence to Mr. Ackerman, who we’re guessing is his homeroom teacher, should more than make up for it. The president wrote: “Mr. Ackerman, please excuse Tyler. He was with me⁄!” And it’s signed, Barack Obama.
Hat tip to the Distinction blog, where you can see the entire note.
