In a letter to supporters, Condoleezza Rice announced a fundraising event with SHEPac, a Super PAC which is seeking to help elect Republican women. NBC’s Alex Moe reported that this is Rice’s first-ever political fundraiser in Washington, D.C. and her first political role since her position as Secretary of State under former President George W. Bush.

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is heading to the nation’s capital later this month to help raise money for Republican female politicians.

ShePAC, the political action committee that debuted in February to help elect Republican women, announced Rice’s first-ever political fundraiser in Washington, D.C., Tuesday morning in an email to supporters with the headline: “Condi’s Coming To Washington.”
