Beyoncé has two significant acting gigs on the horizon, and she has reportedly reached out to her friend, actress Gwyneth Paltrow, for help. The “Countdown” singer is currently working on voicing the animated film Epic, where she stars as Queen Tara, and will soon focus on filming Clint Eastwood’s remake of A Star is Born.

According to The Sun, Paltrow enlisted the help of her godfather, Steven Spielberg, and told him Beyoncé “wants to move on from her gig as Foxxy Cleopatra in Austin Powers: Goldmember,” and on to more significant roles.

The Academy Award-winning actress is allegedly arranging a meeting between Beyoncé and Spielberg, and has ideas about a mini-movie for one of her upcoming music videos.

Beyoncé has appeared in several films, including The Fighting Temptations, Dreamgirls, Cadillac Records, and Obsessed,  but has yet to garner significant critical acclaim for one of her on-screen roles.
