The Barack Obama re-election campaign hit back this week against a Mitt Romney campaign ad which claimed the administration is removing the work requirements from the federal “welfare to work” program. The ad, entitled “Blatant,” quotes various media outlets and fact check organizations that have labeled the Romney claim false.

The Romney ad, and the candidate’s claims that the Obama administration was gutting the Clinton-era welfare reform, have been panned by media outlets, as well as by former president Clinton himself.

The ad will reportedly air in seven battleground states: Ohio, Florida, Colorado, Iowa, North Carolina, Nevada and Virginia.
