Actor Mark Hamill, famous for playing Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars trilogy, is a fanboy himself — when it comes to President Barack Obama.
When asked in interview with Cenk Uygur on Current TV which Star Wars character he’d compare the president to, Hamill said,”He’s got a sort of probably a cross between Obi-Wan and Yoda. Gosh. I so revere him. I’m going to have to go with the Sir Alec Guinness character, Obi-Wan.”
For those uninitiated in the sci-fi saga’s lore, Obi-Wan Kenobi is considered one the wisest and noble of the heroic Jedi warriors.
Unfortunately for Republican candidate Mitt Romney, Hamill does not think “the Force” is with him. He recently tweeted: “I’ve never seen a candidate for president lie more than Romney. He lies effortlessly, shamelessly. This snake oil salesman must be defeated!!!”
