This fall, rapper Jay-Z and his pop star wife Beyoncé hosted a highly successful fundraiser for President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign at the 40/40 club in New York City. But what did the famous trio talk about?

In a recent interview on Cleveand radio station z107.0, the president said he gave Jay-Z advice on parenting.

“I made sure that Jay-Z was helping Beyoncé out [with the baby],” Obama said, “and not leaving it all with mom and the mother-in-law.”

The power couple’s pro-Obama event reportedly brought in $4 million for his campaign. In addition, both Jay-Z and Beyonce have recorded videos in which they have sung the president and first lady’s praises.

“I’ve gotten to know these guys over the first several years,” Obama told z107.9. “They’re good people. They’re down to earth. Beyoncé could not be sweeter to Michelle and the girls. So they’re good friends. They really are down-to-earth folks. We talk about the same things I talk about with all my friends.”
