Donald Trump calls Obama's re-election a 'total sham'

Reality TV star and real estate mogul Donald Trump, who has not been the least bit shy about his outright disdain for the president, lashed out on Twitter last night about Obama’s re-election.

“This election is a total sham and a travesty. We are not a democracy!” he tweeted.

He followed that up with a reference to Romney’s lead (at the time) in the popular vote: “More votes equals a loss…revolution!”

With 99 percent of the vote collected, President Obama now leads Romney 50 to 48 percent in the popular vote.

For much of this year Trump has waged a media blitz in which he has accused the president of lying about his citizenship and academic performance as a college student.

A couple weeks before the election he offered a $5 million to the president if he would turn over his passport and college application documentation, ostensibly to prove he was an American citizen.

President Obama released his long form birth certificate, which showed that he was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, in April of 2011.

Even though the document was officially verified by countless experts, Trump has been part of a small, but outspoken, minority of Americans who refuse to accept its authenticity.
