The White House participated in some April Fool’s Day humor by publishing a comical new video on their official blog.

The video is titled “A Special Message from the President” and begins with a shot of the White House briefing room. Soon, YouTube sensation Kid President – a.k.a. Robby Novak, rises from behind the podium and addresses the nation.

“It looks like you were expecting somebody else, but April Fools on all of y’all,” he announces. “I’m Kid President and I hope everyone has an awesome day.”

“It’s everybody’s duty to give the world a reason to dance. I made it to the White House! I’m here! Peace,” he adds.

The camera then follows Kid President as he exits the room and becomes wedged in the doorway, while funny outtakes of him playing with the podium’s elaborate technology are included towards the end.

The 9-year-old Tennessee native is also a special guest at today’s White House Easter Egg roll. Other stars also attended the annual Easter celebration on the South Lawn of the White House including Oscar-nominated actress Quvenzhané Wallis, Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson and NASCAR driver Danica Patrick.
