First lady Michelle Obama and President Obama will attend the dedication of the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum in Texas on Thursday according to various reports.

“The invitation-only grand opening is scheduled to host all of the living presidents [and spouses], from George W. Bush and former First Lady Laura Bush, to President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, to Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, and George H.W. Bush,” states an NBC local affiliate in Dallas-Fort Worth.

The Obamas most recently traveled together to support the city of Boston in the aftermath of the tragic terrorist attack that took the lives of three and injured over 170 people when two bombs were detonated at the Boston Marathon on April 15. The first couple attended a memorial service, visited the injured in Boston area hospitals, and met with Boston Marathon volunteers on April 18.

The day before flying to Boston, the first lady appeared at the signing of a bill in Annapolis, Maryland that will help veterans find jobs by easing licensing requirements in over 70 fields for former members of the armed forces. First Lady Michelle Obama has made helping military families through her Joining Forces initiative a central focus of her commitment to service.

She made her first public comments about the Boston bombings at this bill signing held at the Maryland State House, Politico reports.

“What happened on Monday was a reminder that in times of crisis here in America, we respond with courage and grit and selflessness. That’s exactly what we saw from the people of Boston and from all those who rushed to aid the victims, especially the police officers and firefighters, the first responders and our men and women in uniform,” she said. “That is the spirit of Boston, but it is also the spirit of this country. And in many ways that’s the spirit and sacrifice that we are here to honor today.”

After the dedication of the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum, the president and first lady will attend a memorial service in Waco for the victims of the fertilizer plant explosion that occurred in West, Texas last week.

“At least 14 people died and more than 200 people were injured after Wednesday night’s explosion at West Fertilizer Co., a massive blast [that] leveled dozens of homes and buildings,” USA Today reports.
