2013 was a benchmark year for super producer Timbaland.

The Virginia Beach native executive produced frequent collaborator’s Justin Timberlake‘s 20/20 Experience album and lent a hand on Jay Z’s epic Magna Carta Holy Grail, while still making business moves, partnering with 50 Cent for his own line of custom SMS headphones.

The “Up Jumps Da Boogie” rapper was recently recruited by Fox to curate the music for upcoming new drama pilot Empire, which is produced by 5o Cent and written by Oscar-nominated director Lee Daniels.
