Coco on Kim and Kanye Vogue cover backlash: 'It's so stupid'
Although Coco has walked away from reality TV, the voluptuous model is busier than ever.
Coco recently just launched Coco Licious, a line of pleasure products, and will soon headline a new burlesque show in New York City.
The former Ice Loves Coco star sat down with theGrio’s Chris Witherspoon to talk about her expanding brand and to weigh in on some celebrity hot topics.
“I just think it’s so stupid,” Coco said. “I think people really need to stop gossiping because there’s wars happening and you’re worried about Kim and Kanye being on the cover of Vogue. If it looks hot then go with it.”
“Someone showed it to me, and I was like, ‘oh that’s kinda cool.’ I didn’t know what it was for, but I had no thoughts that there was something wrong with that picture.”
Coco said she would love to one day grace the cover of Vogue, but believes her body is too curvy for a high-fashion editorial spread.
“I just don’t think [Vogue would] ever ask me. I don’t feel like my body fits in their world. I’m thicker than the rest out there… I just don’t think those type of magazines would ask me because of that.”
Throughout season 3 of Ice Loves Coco, Coco candidly discussed freezing her eggs in order to one day become a mother.
Coco says this year she hopes to finally have a baby.
“I always told myself at 35 that I will start wanting to have babies, and I just turned 35 this week. So it’s definitely on the list. I want to soon have babies.”
For ten months in 2013 Coco starred in the Las Vegas striptease spectacular Peepshow.
Next month she’ll perform nearly nude in a new burlesque show in the Big Apple.
“Since peep show in Vegas was so successful… I came back to New York and now I’m working with a new burlesque show called Coco & the Vanity Vixens,” she announced.
Coco & the Vanity Vixens debuts May 12 at the Highline Ballroom.
