Floyd Mayweather took to his Facebook and Instagram accounts earlier today, claiming the reason he split from his ex-girlfriend Shantel Christine Jackson was because she had an abortion.

The undefeated boxer, who recently expressed interest in owning the Clippers, posted what appears to be a photo of an ultrasound, with a caption that claims “the real reason” the pair broke up was because “she killed our twin babies.”

Mayweather followed up the first post with a second, which has also since been deleted. In the second post, the boxer posted an older photo of his ex-girlfriend with a caption claiming he paid for plastic surgery.

The boxer was allegedly upset after photos of his ex with rapper Nelly surfaced online.

After receiving immediate backlash, Mayweather removed the photo from both social networks.

Jackson took to her Instagram account to respond:

In 2011, Mayweather was sentenced to 90 days in jail after pleading guilty to domestic violence and battery charges against his ex-girlfriend and mother of his three children at the time. He was released after serving two months.

Mayweather is just three days away from his next fight against Marcos Maidana.
