This Sunday, July 13, marks one year since a Florida jury delivered a not guilty verdict to George Zimmerman.

The verdict sparked immediate protests and boycotts. It generated national debates on stand your ground laws and the way society perceives young men of color.

Trayvon Martin’s parents, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, are among the figures who talk about their ongoing activism in the wake of their son’s tragic death.
