Lee Daniels would love to have Denzel Washington guest star on Empire.
Recently, Daniels took a selfie with Washington with the caption: “Trying to talk this one into doing a guest star on #empire #nextweekdinneronme.”
Additionally, in an interview with the Philadelphia Inquirer, Daniels said, “Denzel hasn’t done television in 30 years. But he saw the pilot and said, ‘I’ve got to be a part of this.'”
Empire premiered January 7 on Fox and tells the story of a hip-hop record exec and his troubled family. The series which stars Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard, is a certified hit with viewers and was renewed by Fox for a second season just after two episodes.
