‘Suge’ Knight expected Floyd Mayweather to post $10-million bail after win

Marion “Suge” Knight thought he had good reason to rejoice in the outcome of the Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Manny Pacquiao fight on Saturday.
Last week, Matthew Fletcher, Knight’s attorney, said if Mayweather won the bout, he expected the boxer to cover his client’s bail, due to their longtime friendship.
“Suge said, ‘Man, I was really going to pull for him to win, but now I’m going to have to pray for him to win,’” Fletcher said.
But now that Mayweather has won, it doesn’t seem the boxer intends to honor those plans. A member of Mayweather’s team told TMZ Sports he will not help free his friend.
The boxer reportedly is already worth $280 million and took home around $150 million — win or lose — after his bout with Pacquiao. Knight’s bail remains at $10 million, even though his attorney requested it be reduced by half.
A jury trial was set for July 7.
