In a recent sit down with US Weekly,Ā Raven-SymonĆ© admitted that Oprah was right.

In a 2014 appearance of OWNā€™sĀ Where Are They Now?Ā series, the former child starĀ shocked many fans by making some unorthodox statementsĀ about race and ethnicity.

ā€œIā€™m an American, Iā€™m not an African-American,ā€ Symone, 29, boldlyĀ said at the time.

ā€œOh girl, youā€™re going to set Twitter on fire,ā€ a shocked Winfrey replied.

Now, theĀ newly appointed co-host atĀ The View realizes the tv veteran’s warning was more prophetic than she initially realized. The backlash from black Twitter users has remainedĀ constant over the last several months, with no signs of backing down any time soon.

“She told me that black Twitter is going to hate me forever,” the actressĀ lightheartedly concedes.Ā “She was right. I love you, Oprah. Sheā€™s like everybodyā€™s rich aunt. Sheā€™s really close to you, but sheā€™ll never give you any of her money.
