A woman was caught on video as she ordered her pet pit bulls to attack a man in the Bronx, resulting in a graphic and bloody video.
The owner of the dogs, 65-year-old Cynthia Oliver, got into an argument with the unnamed victim before letting her dogs off their leashes and ordering them to attack him.
A nearby good Samaritan saw the attack and jumped in, trying to pull the dogs off of the victim and even at one point stepping over the victim in an attempt to protect him. Other neighbors came out, armed with a hose, whip and bat, and when they tried to keep the dogs away from the victim, they turned their attack on the good Samaritan.
According to the police, the first victim lost a part of his right ear, sustained severe nerve damage to his arms and suffered lacerations to his chest and arms. The good Samaritan also suffered cuts on his arms.
Oliver has since been charged with eight counts of assault and two counts of reckless endangerment. The pit bulls were taken to Animal Care and Control.
