Lifetime reportedly casts newcomer to play Toni Braxton in biopic 

In September it was announced that Lifetime would be producing an authorized biopic about Toni Braxton based on her 2014 memoir, Unbreak My Heart: The Toni Braxton Story, and now sources are revealing they have cast the lead.

In September, it was announced that Lifetime would be producing an authorized biopic about Toni Braxton based on her 2014 memoir, Unbreak My Heart: The Toni Braxton Story, and now sources are revealing they have cast the lead.

The Daily Mail reports that insiders say Baltimore native Lex Scott-Davis will be stepping into the limelight to play Toni, the eldest of the Braxton sisters.

While unknown to the general public, Scott-Davis has worked with stars such as Usher, Nelly, Kelly Rowland, Chris Brown, Fergie and Beyoncé. She is also the niece of singer and producer Rico Love.

Toni Braxton is a producer on the film, which plans to cover everything from her financial woes and health issues to being the mother of a child who has autism.

Actress Skye P. Marshall will play Towanda Braxton, Tiffany Hines will play Tamar Braxton, Debbie Morgan will portray Toni Braxton’s mother, Evelyn Braxton, and Trina Braxton will be played by Actress LaToya Franklyn.
