New details released in the $10 million civil lawsuit filed against Nick Gordon by Bobbi Kristina Brown’s conservatorship allege Gordon injected Brown with a “toxic mixture” after he placed her in a bathtub unconscious.
11Alive reports the new allegations have come to light in response to Gordon requesting to stay discovery proceedings involved with the lawsuit.
Discovery is the formal process of exchanging information between both sides of a case regarding witnesses and evidence they’ll present at trial.
Brown was found unresponsive in the bathtub of her Atlanta-area home on Jan. 31. The 22-year-old daughter of the late Whitney Houston remained on life support in hospice care until she was pronounced dead July 26.
The administrator of Brown’s estate first filed the lawsuit against Gordon in June, claiming he stole money from Brown and physically and emotionally abused her. Shortly after Brown’s death, the lawsuit was amended, adding a wrongful death count.
