Over the weekend, police in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, killed a black man who had reportedly pulled over to the side of the road due to car trouble.
The family of Corey Jones is demanding answers following the untimely death of the 31-year old, who was known in the community as a drummer in several local bands and churches.
They say Jones was on his way home from a gig late Saturday evening when his car broke down. Shortly thereafter, he called his brother, saying he would need a ride home after contacting a tow truck.
Unfortunately, that was the last time anyone ever heard from him.
The police killed a friend of mine this morning. Before they tell you he was a thug, he played drums in church every single Sunday.

“We don’t know where his body is, we don’t know what’s going on, all we know is someone knocked on the door and said this has happened,” Ava Wright, a cousin of Jones, told WPEC. “The family needs some comfort. He never got into any trouble; he was a very good kid.”
While police have yet to give Wright or anyone else in her family a clear explanation, on Monday, they released a statement to the media.
