Veronica Castillo wasn’t a big gambler, but she decided one day to take her mom to the Lucky Eagle Casino in Washington, and it was there that she won over $8 million.

She was playing a video game called Jurassic Riches when the jackpot counter started climbing until it passed the $8.5 million mark, 11Alive reports. Stunned, she and everyone else present began to get excited, only to find out that the whole thing was just a mistake.

When Castillo tried to claim her prize, the casino informed her that she hadn’t actually won as much money as she thought she had. In fact, she had only won $80, and the machine had malfunctioned. There was no jackpot to be won.

“I felt insulted I felt cheated, I was very disappointed very upset and then I started to think about all the people there. And then I got angry,” said Castillo.

Castillo said that she would be getting a lawyer, not just because she wants the money that she won but because she wants to make sure that the casino doesn’t do this to anyone else. She doesn’t want other people to have to get their hopes up only to have them monumentally crushed by a malfunction.
