Tank apologizes after calling out Tyrese for ‘flaunting his success’
Earlier this week, Tank called out Tyrese for issuing a challenge to R&B singers that, Tank said, felt more like an excuse to brag than an actual challenge.
Tyrese had issued the challenge to R&B singers — while standing in front of his Billboard Top 200 albums plaque — to produce an album without any songs featuring hip hop.
It didn’t take long for fellow crooner Tank to call him out on it. He said that the challenge seemed like Tyrese was saying he was the only artist producing R&B, ignoring artists like Anthony Hamilton and Jill Scott.
But Tank, who is close with Tyrese, realized afterward that he could have handled it better and has since issued an apology both to Tyrese and to the R&B community for bringing his beef out into the public eye.
