Sunday evening, Chris Rock took a couple blatant jabs at Jada Pinkett-Smith during his opening monologue at the 88th Academy Awards show.

“What happened this year?” Rock asked in response to the #OscarsSoWhite controversy and Pinkett-Smith’s vocal boycott of the broadcast. “Jada’s going to boycott the Oscars. Jada boycotting the Oscars is like me boycotting Rihanna’s panties. I wasn’t invited! It’s not an invitation I would turn down.”

“It’s not fair that Will Smith was this good and didn’t get nominated,” Rock continued, turning his attention to her husband. “It’s also not fair that Will was paid $20 million for Wild Wild West.”

While the joke got a hearty laugh from the audience, when TMZ ran into Smith, they couldn’t help asking him to share his thoughts on the comedian’s  comments.
