Lately, Naomi, 45,  has been featuring her mother a lot on her Instagram page, and seeing the two together is just jaw-dropping, because Valerie looks more like an older sister than like Naomi’s mother.

During a 2010 interview with Oprah Winfrey the two women opened up about growing closer in recent years, after a rocky start to their relationship with Valerie had to ask her mother to care for Naomi because she was 19 at the time she gave birth.
“I do feel that I abandoned her,” Ms Morris told Oprah.
While crying, Campbell responded: “of course I understand the sacrifice she had to make.”

Now, after surviving a breast cancer diagnosis and a mastectomy, Valerie is still going strong and supporting her daughter behind the scenes, and Naomi has been sure to publicly thank her mother for that love and time.
